I got to admit it feels a lot more comfortable than it looks. Definitely very solid. I'm happy with it, thank you. Honestly this thing looks so different I was reluctant to buy it right off, but once I got it on the gun all doubts vanished. Thanks again and good luck with this, it's probably the best AR add on available for use in CA. I am glad I made the switch. For me the pro's and con's point in this direction. I do like the space weapon look with this grip. Man, that thing is badass. I have to say that I am happy with my decision on running the Hammerhead. The fact that I can run my thumb around the grip enabling a much more stable magazine change...I am happier than I was using that stupid tool for the magazine release. it places the stock on the shoulder actually better than the normal stock. The feel of the Hammerhead is more like a standard rifle - and it offers what neither of the other compliance products do: a place for the thumb to grip. The Hammerhead is the best choice for me, the ability to wrap my thumb over the top is glorious! I have a good grip on the rifle, Mag changes are easy, I have no problem reaching the mag release and overall the grip is comfortable. I've already ordered one for the wife as she likes it much better too. ...I'm very happy right now and think its the best option. Retaining normal mag release function as well as the capability of running your preban hi-caps are huge advantages in competition and classes over all variations of locked mags. The big deal for me was that the Hammerhead allows your thumb to be thrown over the grip, very much like how you would grip a traditional rifle or shotgun...such as an M1A or Garand for example. it is more comfortable to grip than it looks... it actually looks cool. It's better than some of the other featureless options out there. The basic grip angle, it's great. I can manipulate the trigger just fine, weight distribution isn't weird at all when I shoulder my rifle. I really like the feel of it. It feels like holding a Mossberg 500 with your trigger hand and a AR with your support hand. Over all very comfortable. I like it very much and another thing I like was that my mag can now be swapped quickly! always a plus! I also noticed that I can hold the AR with just the trigger hand while swapping out mags. Another good thing. Over all I think my money was well spent. I like it very much! while it may sound strange and even look a bit odd to some people it's actually pretty comfortable, and it allows the non-assault rifle AR15 to still look cool. It actually places your eye in the proper place for a flattop Iron sight or low mounted scope, and is actually pretty comfortable. I found the Hammerhead to be well made, very rugged, and far more comfortable than I would have guessed. with a short magazine you can also get the rifle lower to the ground than one with a pistol grip. and placing your face on the receiver extension/buffer tube is comfortable even with the short pistol buffer. I like the Hammerhead and I'm building a rifle to use it. It's simple, allows other stock mounting options. I think you will like it too.
